Delhi CM Kejriwal’s car stolen from Delhi Secretariat

The Aam Aadmi Party Chief and Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal’s blue car been reportedly stolen – from right outside the government’s headquarters in the capital.

The Wagon-R was dubbed the “AAP Mobile” and got the media attention when the Chief Minister used it to camp and sleep in during the controversial protest against the Delhi Police in 2014.

The blue car became the symbol by the Aam Aadmi Party or AAP to demonstrate it’s commitment to fight against the VIP culture and of standing with the little guy. It was used by Mr Kejriwal during the election campaign for the first election he contested; it remained his vehicle of choice when he was first made Chief Minister.

In January 2014, the small hatchback doubled up as the venue of a cabinet meeting while the Chief Minister and his team were on a public protest against the police for alleged inaction in cracking down on a drugs and prostitution mafia in south Delhi; Mr Kejriwal was photographed sleeping next to his car on the pavement at the time.
