Taking stern approach on corruption, Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday also announced that the properties of officials found cheating the poor would be seized and will face compulsory retirement.

A few days back, going tough on criminals, the Uttar Pradesh CM has given a free hand to the police for the encounter to maintain the law and order in the state.

Declaring it as a mere publicity stunt, the opposition leader, who doesn’t wish to be named, said, “It’s just the publicity stunt. No such orders have been passed on to the police and criminals are at large”.

Talking on the corruption by the state government, the same leader said that the party now opened a “one window” for corruption, where the person is “appointed by the top leaders from the party”. He says, “The BJP in Uttar Pradesh is now more corrupt than the BSP and SP combined. BJP had opened the one window for corruption, where the person is appointed by the higher authorities and gives you the maximum profit for the party”.

Another opposition leader, on the terms of anonymity, said that “What now is agitating the BJP workers is that anyone can fight the election if he has the money with him”. He said that a well-known builder just parachuted from nowhere and run for the elections of the Mayor. “The builder, as he has got the money, approached the top party members, deposited the said amount and got the ticket”. Adding further, he said, “It all works as a fixed system, where all work in a system”.

The opposition party leaders had also claimed that the slogan of dynasty politics is also a fog-screen to divert the attention of the common man, he says, “An MP from BSP is making all the effort to get the BJP’s ticket for her wife to run for the ward elections. See it just the smog-screen that is created to divert the attention of the common man”.
