Not one to lose single opportunity, congress demanded MoS of home affairs Kiren Rijiju’s resignation over the hydel power corruption scam in his home state. Addressing the press conference Congress party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala also lambasted Rijiju’s over his remarks ‘hamare yahan jo aayega, jootey khaayega’. Rijiju’s comment was directed at those who he alleged were planting false stories to tar his reputation.
The B.J.P tried to put up a brave face and contend that Rijiju’s made that particular remark only because he grew emotional over stains being thrown at his ‘clean image’
DETAILS OF ALLEGATION
Randeep Surjewala claimed that not only did Rijiju approve the bogus bills submitted by the contractors but he also let his cousin Goboi Rijiju try and influence IQS Satish Vrma to give up the probe. Randeep Surjewala asserted that Rijiju cannot, morally or otherwise, disclaim the fact that Gaoboi is his relative. He cannot fob-off demand for an independent investigation into the matter just by alleging notice and ulterior motive. Repeatedly stating is Rijiju is primary guilty, Randeep Surjewala and his party is seemed to determine to make out of the opportunity t pin down the political opponent. With the AAP also jump into the frame, Rijiju has it back pushed further to the wall. Randeep Surjewala demands were echoed by Padi Richo, President of the Arunachal Pradesh committee as well as by the AAP’s Somnath Bharti demanded that the case should be probed by the retired judge of the High Court or the Supreme court as it involves such a serious minister.
