Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday declared Lucknow and Noida will be made into commissionaires and will have separate police commissioners. Today, in the big cabinet decision, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh also announced that Lucknow will be divided into two zones- Lucknow City and Lucknow Rural, for better administration.
Also, the number of female police officers will be increased in Noida, Greater Noida, and Lucknow.
Lucknow, Noida and Greater Noida are being developed and converted into Smart cities.
There are about 25 lakh people living in Noida and Greate Noida, so the need for separate police commissioner’s office was a need, said CM Yogi Adityanath.
According to CM’s announcement, 40 new police stations will be setup in Lucknow. A police Commissioner od ADG rank will be appointed. A women police commissioner will be appointed for the security of women in the city.
Separate police will be appointed to manage the traffic in Lucknow, and additional CCTV cameras will be installed across the city, CM added.
