Breaking: Liquor King late Ponty Chadha son Monty Chadha arrested at Delhi Airport

Liquor King Ponty Chadha son Manpreet Singh Chadha aka Monty arrested by Economic offense Wing (EOW) at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport on Wednesday night while he was trying to escape to Phuket, Thailand. A lookout notice was issued on the name Wave group vice chairman Monty, a few months ago. He along with Wave group promoters has been accused of fudging public in the name of very hi-fi accommodation project.

Confirming the arrest, Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) Suvashish Chaudhary said he would be produced before a magistrate on Thursday.

Mr. Chaudhary added that a look-out circular was issued against Manpreet a few months ago in a cheating case registered against him and other promoters of the Wave group in January 2018.

In an FIR lodged at EOW, it has been claimed that Wave along with its promoters has fudged public by making false promises. In an FIR it was unveiled that Wave had promised an accommodation at NH24 furnished with a personal metro station and a helipad but as per promises, nothing was delivered to investors.
