#AnotherNirbhayaStory: Policeman locks moving train compartment and rapes a woman.

In a perfect world, we should be shocked to hear about rape stories but we don’t live in one and now it almost feels like any other news. Rape cases in India are at such an alarming rate that the expression we give after hearing such pathetic news is not shocked or angered but sad and depressed.

Another Day Another Rape Case:

GRP constable in Bijnor was arrested yesterday for allegedly raping a woman on a moving train. Woman who hailed from Meerut boarded the Lucknow-Chandigarh train from Chandpur railway station on 30th May.
The GRP personnel was later arrested by the people of Bijnor and handed over to Railway Police.

Ravi Mohan Sharma, Railway post-in-charge, said that the accused has been arrested and the complaint has been registered.

The GRP is tasked to maintained Law and Order and to ensure passenger safety on the train.

Is there any way we can ensure the safety of woman? It’s 2017 for god sake!
