Within the last 24 hours, six people have committed suicide in Noida due to mental stress due to coronavirus pandemic. The police have sent the dead bodies for autopsy. Depesh Dev (42 years), living in Supertech Cesare Society located in Thana, Dadri area, got a fan on his house on Monday. He was then admitted to hospital and declared dead by the doctors, said police.
Dev was alcoholic and was under mental stress due to coronavirus lockdown, which led to his suicide.
Sonu (25), was living in Ghanghola Village in Kasna area, ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan on Tuesday night.
Double Singh Rawat (25) from Parathala village of Thana Phase- 3 area, consumed poison due to mental stress, which led to his death. He was originally from Uttarakhand.
Naveen (27) was living in Surajpur police station area, committed suicide by putting a fan on his house due to mental problems.
Pooja, from Sutyana village of the Eco Tech-3 area, committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan. The police said that the woman took this extreme step because of domestic problems.
And Shahrukh Khan, from Badlapur area, killed himself by jumping in front of the train due to mental stress.
Police told the media that all the dead bodies have been found by the team and has been sent for the autopsy.
