Ghaziabad journalist massacre: 1 cop suspended, 9 Held.

On July 20, a journalist Vikram Joshi was shot by a group of few men in front of his daughters in Ghaziabad, has succumbed to injuries, news agency ANI reported on 22 July , Wednesday.

Joshi was traveling with his two daughters on a motorcycle when the men has assaulted him and opened fire.

A total of 9 people have been arrested for the matter, whereas efforts to catch another accused is going on, ANI reported.

After the family of the journalist reporter inaction by the police, the station in charge was being suspended and an departmental inquiry has been started. Joshi, who got a bullet injury on his head , was said to be in critical condition at a private hospital in the city.

Parts of attacks were recorded in CCTV footage where it was seen Joshi was with his two daughters on a bike on a road of Vijay Nagar area of Ghaziabad.

The time when bullet was shot was not clear in the footage, Joshi is being seen dragged toward the car and being trashed over there before the attackers flee from the spot.

As per NDTV, the incident took place at night around 10:30pm.
