Bhartiya Janta Party leaders Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi on Monday took oath as the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar in the presence of Governor Phagu Chauhan, Union Minister Amit Shah and party President JP Nadda.
Earlier Janta Dal-United leader Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister. The swearing-in ceremony comes a day after the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar chose Nitish Kumar as the chief minister for another term. Deputy Chief Ministers and eight other ministers from NDA constituents -BJP, JDU, HAM, and VIP are also sworn in today.
2. Kakapo, the world’s fastest parrot named News Zealand’s bird of the year 2020.
The green and fawn Kakapo, the world’s heaviest and longest-living parrot, has named as New Zealand’s bird of the year 2020. A spokesperson for Bird of the Year Laura Keown said kakapo was literally brought back from the brink of extinction and their population is now 213.
The Bird of the Year Competition is an annual competition held by New Zealand’s independent conservation organization Forest and Bird, in a bid to raise people’s awareness of New Zealand’s natural birds.
3. Dhanush and Sai Pallavi’s song’Rowdy Baby’ becomes the first South Indian Song to hit 1 billion views.
Dhanush -Sai Pallavi’s ‘Maari 2’ song ‘Rowdy Baby’, which set the music world on fire, made history today by becoming the first South Indian song to cross the ‘One Billion Views Club (100crore) on YouTube.
The video song, which released in January 2019 turned out to be a raging hit with people from across the world. Rowdy Baby was applauded for its catchy tune by Yuvan Shankar raja. The song was choreographed by Prabhu Deva and was sung by Dhanush and dhee.
4. A Section of the Eiffel Tower’s Original Staircase Is Up for Auction.
A Section of the Eiffel Tower’s original staircase will be auctioned by a French Auction House on December 1, as part of its Parisian Art Deco and Design Sale and is expected to fetch up to Rs 35 Lakh.
The Staircase from 1889 was used to connect the second and third levels of the monument. A few years later, an elevator replaced the original staircase.
