  1. NCB summons Arjun Rampal, girlfriend Gabriella in drug probe.

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades have been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau to join the investigation in the on-ground Bollywood drug probe. The two have been asked to appear before the NCB on November 11.

On Monday, Arjun Rampal’s home was raised by NCB officials. After the raid, the actor’s driver was detained by the agency and was questioned at the NCB office by Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team. Raids were also conducted at two other places in Khar and Andheri.

2. Telegu megastar Chiranjeevi tests Positive for COVID-19.

Actor Chiranjeevi, who was all set to resume filming for his upcoming Telegu Film Acharya, on Monday took to Twitter to reveal that he has tested positive for the coronavirus. Chiranjeevi said that he is asymptomatic and has home quarantined himself.

The 65-year-old said that he did a Covid-19 test as part of the safety protocol before joining the sets of his upcoming movie Acharya.

“Took a test for Covid before resuming Acharya shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive. I am currently asymptomatic and quarantining myself at home. Request all those who met me in the last five days to also undergo Covid tests. Will update you on my recovery soon,” Chiranjeevi tweeted.

3. Pfizer early trails show vaccine 90% effective in preventing Covid-19

US pharmaceutical Pfizer Inc and its German partner BioNTech SE on Monday said that early data has shown that their Covid -19 vaccine is more than 90 percent effective in preventing Covid-19.

Pfizer and German partner BioNTech SE are the first drugmakers to show successful data from a large-sacks clinical trial of a coronavirus vaccine.

The shots made by Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech are among ten possible vaccine candidates in late-stage testing around the world.

4. Virat Kohli to take paternity leave after the first test in Australia.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday confirmed that it has granted paternity leave to Indian captain Virat Kohli, who will return from Team India’s upcoming tour of Australia after the first Test.

The BCCI in an official release confirmed that Kohli had informed the board about his plans to return home for the birth of his first child.

“At the selection committee meeting held on October 26th, 2020, Mr. Virat Kohli had informed the BCCI about his plans to return to India after the first Test in Adelaide. The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain. He will return after the first Test against Australia in Adelaide,” BCCI’s release stated.
