Christmas is around the corner and former US President Barack Obama has not missed the chance to surprise people of US. This time, on Wednesday at Children’s National Hospital, wearing a festive Santa hat, Obama surprised the sick children in Washington by visiting them with a bag full of gifts and hugs.
He also took it to his twitter account by thanking the children and staffs for allowing him to have a gala time, “Merry Christmas and happy holidays to the extraordinary kids, families, and staff at Children’s National. And thanks for humoring me as your stand-in Santa.”
Children’s National also tweeted him in return by thanking him for the kind and lovely gesture, “Thank you @BarackObama for making our patients day so much brighter. Your surprise warmed our hallways and put smiles on everyone’s faces! Our patients loved your company…and your gifts!
“As the dad of two girls, I can only imagine of that situation to have doctors, nurses and staff and people who are caring for them, and looking after them….that’s the most important thing there is.”, he added.
He often surprises people like this where last year in the capital, he dressed up like a Santa and visited middle school students at a Boys & Girls Club.
