Kerela’s Health Minister K.K.Shailaja named “Top Thinker of 2020” by UK Magazine ‘Prospect’ !

Kerela’s Health Minister K.K.Shailaja has been selected as the World’s ‘Top Thinker of the Year 2020’ by a UK monthly magazine ‘Prospect’ for the Covid-19 age.
The state health minister KK Shailaja has been selected from a list of top 50 personalities which included Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, Marina Tabassum, Bangladeshi Architect, philosopher Cornel West among others.

Crediting Health Minister KK Shailaja for taking needful steps in Flatenning the Covid-19 curve in Kerela and for securing a low fatality rate in the state, the magazine selected her and said that K. K Shailaja was the “right woman in the right place”
The magazine prospect read “When Covid-19 was still a China Story in January she not only actually foresaw its inevitable arrival but also fully grasped the implications”

The second spot earned for the similar strategy went to Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand Prime Minister whose governing “ethos of kindness ” was drawing interest as a refreshing alternative to Neo-liberalism even before it showed practical results in coping with the crisis Just behind her is the Bangladeshi architect Marina Tabassum, another woman who applied her mind to a pressing climate change challenge. Marina Tabassum had done incredible work in designing houses on stilts to keep families safe from rising waters.

Earlier other international media organizations like BBC, The New York Times, The Guardian, etc in the past have also expressed appreciation for Kerela’s effort in controlling the spread of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
