It seems like for Meghan Markle, surviving in the royal spotlight, has been the Toughest role yet.

Surprising news came this Wednesday morning when Prince Harry and his wife Meghan announced that they will be quitting as the front line member of the royal family, reportedly without first consulting Queen Elizabeth II.

In the shocking announcement, the couple said, they will be settling in North America.

Media reports said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their bombshell announcement without consulting it with Queen Elizabeth or Prince Charles.

In the statement released by Buckingham Palace, the couple said, “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the royal family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”

“We have chosen to make the transition this year is starting to carve out a progressive new role within the institution,” they added.

“We now to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America.”

This announcement was surely a surprise for the royal family as well, because an hour or forty minutes later  of Prince Harry and Meghan’s announcement, as the second statement came out of Palace saying, the discussion was “at an early  stage”

“We understand the desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through,” it added.

Through these two statements, it was quite clear that, that the mood in the Buckingham Palace would have been disappointed.
