After Punjab government ordered the use of red beacons illegal on their vehicles, following this, CM Yogi Adityanath ordered that no minister in the state will be allowed to use the red beacons. This will send a positive signal to the electorate at the large and will show how the current government is different from erstwhile government.
Prior to this, Yogi Adityanath’s newly elected cabinet minister Sidharth Nath Singh also announced to get rid of the red beacon from his vehicle. He also added that he is not a VVIP, he is a servant of the government.
Two days back, Punjab Chief Minister had announced, “None of the ministers including Chief Minister will use red beacon or blue beacon on their vehicles, this is a govt for poor people and is here to end the VIP culture.”
Cabinet Minister Srikant Sharma said, “As uprooting corruption is the main agenda of our party, CM in his first introductory meeting with his ministers directed them to give details of their income, moveable and immoveable properties with 15 days to the (party) organisation as well as the secretary (to CM).”
