August Ames, 23 – who appeared in more than 270 X-rated films – was attacked on Twitter after saying she would not work with men who have filmed gay sex scenes.
Some Twitter users branded her “homophobic” for her remarks – and one nasty troll even advised her to kill herself with a cyanide pill.
Now new details of her shock death have emerged.
The Canadian – who suffered from depression – was found dead on Tuesday, December 5, in a park just 20 minutes from the home she shared with husband Kevin Moore in Camarillo, California.
August left a note at the scene of her death in California, according to reports.
She “apologised to her family” but did not mention the cyber bullying, it is said.
There were no drugs or alcohol found near her body.
August left a haunting last Twitter post, writing: “F*** all.”
Her untimely death sparked a wave of tributes from fellow actresses.
Partner Kevin Moore called her the “kindest person I’ve ever met”.
The stunning actress insisted she was not “homophobic”.
She tweeted: “Sorry, it was just my opinion. My body, my rules. Honestly I’m sorry if I offended anyone.”
Previously, she had spoken about being sexually abused as a child.
