Home Minister of India Amit Shah tested COVID-19 Positive.

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has posted in his recent tweet that he has been tested positive for novel coronavirus disease. In India, almost 1.75 million positive cases have been recorded out of which 1.14 cases have been recovered. Unlock 3 has also begun since the month of August has started. This is what Shah has written in his latest tweet:

“On getting the initial symptoms of the corona, I got the test done and the report came back positive.  My health is fine, but I am being admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors.  I request that all of you who have come in contact with me in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get your inquiry done.”

On July 21, 2020, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan,  State President VD Sharma, Cooperatives Minister Amit Bhadoria, and BJP General Secretary (organization) Suhas Bhagat, all four tested COVID-19 positive while they were traveling to Lucknow to attend the last rites of MP Governor Lalji Tandon.

On July 29, 2020, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwari Lal Purohit contracted coronavirus and was asked to self-isolate. On the morning of August 2, Purohit was taken to Chennai’s Kauvery Hospital for the treatment.

On August 2, 2020, Uttar Pradesh BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh also tested corona positive. Doctors advised him to quarantine himself at home.

Amit Shah was likely mentioned in the guest list of Ram Mandir Bhumi Pujan in Ayodhya which is scheduled to take place on August 5, 2020.
