The US Embassy in New Delhi on Thursday tweeted a video of its officers acting out portions of famous Bollywood films. The US Embassy released a video showing its employees auditioning for roles in the Hindi movies. The funny video was shared by the embassy on its official Twitter account and can be seen as an effort to strengthen India-US ties.
The video is titled ‘Bollywood Dreams”, and the audition reel has embassy officials performing famous scenes from iconic Bollywood films. The video starts from a very famous dialogue from ‘Sholay’, “Kitne aadmi the?”. The video further pays tribute to Deepika Padukone’s “Ek Chutki Sindoor” monologue from ‘Om Shanti Om’. They further also used delivered dialogues from Shashi Kapoor’s ‘Deewar’ film, “Mere Paas Maa Hai”, and Amitabh Bachchan’s famous one-liner from ‘Shahenshah’.

It also brings back memories of 2015 when German diplomat attempted to re-invent ties with India when he, along with his wife and former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, reworked the music video of the title song of ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’.
