Well-known Hindi cinema actor and comedian Jagdeep is no more with us. He died at the age of 81 on 8 July. It is being told that he died due to cancer and he was ill for a long time. There is a wave of mourning in Bollywood on his death. Many celebrities including Ranveer Singh, Anupam Kher, Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Johnny Liver have paid tribute to him on social media.

Jagdeep’s full name was Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafri. Jagdeep has acted in more than 400 films. He played Surma Bhopali in the 1975 blockbuster film Sholay, which became quite popular. He started his career as a child artist with BR Chopra’s film Afsana.
