Rapper Badshah soon to make an on-screen debut opposite Sonakshi Sinha

Rapper Badshah will soon make his debut in Bollywood in debutant director Shilpi Dasgupta’s upcoming film starring Sonakshi Sinha. The cast has already started the shoot in Punjab from January 25.

The project is yet to be named, it is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and is being written by Gautam Mehra. Badshah is going to act a character with the resemblance of his own character.

“I am extremely nervous but I know I have taken this way and now I have to show the best of me. This year I have undertaken many firsts, as a producer and now as an actor. Bhushanji and Mrigh kept convincing me on how perfect the role is for me. The film is so unique and different that whenever I think of it, it brings a smile to my face. I would be able to work with super talented Sonakshi Sinha who is a dear friend of me”, said Badshah.

He also took this to his instagram account where he posted a newspaper clipping which he captioned, “Thank you bollywood for making me a part of your family. For accepting a middle class boy from Delhi like you’ve done before. For making people believe in dreams still. Thank you Mrig paaji and Bhushan sir. Thank you Shilpi maam. And what better start than sharing screen with Sonakshi Sinha”.

The film’s cast includes Sonakshi Sinha along with Varun Sharma, Annu Kapoor, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Nadira Babbar. The film is supposed to hit the theaters on August 2.
