Lonely nights for Kapil Sharma
Despite tv actor Kapil Sharma grand apology on social platforms things has not lightened up between the comedian Sunil Grover.ever since Sunil had quit the show It has been observed on the sets of the show that other than Sunil Grover, Ali Azgar and Chandan Prabhakar have not been coming for shoots. The three comedians will only appear in one episode that will be shot on Wednesday evening.
The lights are certainly dimming. They have certainly made SOS calls to Sunil Pal, Raju Shrivastava and Ahsaan Qureshi after the flight-fight to raise a laugh, and thankfully they agreed. The only comedians to be found around Kapil on the sets were Kiku Sharda aka Palak and Rochelle Rao. Kapil and Sunil, reportedly, had a fight as they were flying back with their team to Mumbai from Australia, after a show. Apparently, the former got drunk, belittled Sunil and also physically assaulted him.
Kapil took to Twitter to apologize but Sunil is yet to accept the apology. Meanwhile, Kapil’s professional rival Krushna Abhishek has extended support to him saying that friends often fight and there is nothing unusual about it. It is interesting to note that Krushna, who is currently hosting Comedy Nights Bachao had expressed interest in working with Kapil again.
Going by Sunil’s career in Television, success had eluded the talented actor for a long time. He was a part of many shows that did not do well, which included Gutur Gu, Professor Money Plant, Lo Kar Lo Baat, Chala Lallan Hero Ban Ne and Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hain?. None of his works did justice to the talent that he has until he worked on Comedy Nights With Kapil, where he rose to unprecedented heights with his enactment of a cross-dressed woman, Gutthi. He left the audience in splits with his comic act and proved his mettle as a comedian. However, his creative differences with Kapil Sharma when he was doing Comedy Nights made him switch to another channel with a new show. Sunil went on to do ‘Mad In India’, his own show, which turned out to be a dud, doing nothing for the comedian.
He then returned to Kapil’s show after a reconciliation and continues to receive the same adulation till date, even when he now plays an aged Dr. Mashoor Gulati, who offers unique medical treatments to his patients.
Sunil now probably knows the result of working with Kapil and without him, as he has experienced both. Hence, his possibility of returning to the show cannot be ruled out completely. Also, this pretty much sums up the fact that just as Kapil is nothing without Sunil, Sunil is also a non-entity without Kapil. It is true that some people work best when they work together. We can only hope that two bury their differences and shift their energies to create magic with their humor and wit.
The confusion over The Kapil Sharma Show refuses to end. In what has emerged as television’s biggest spat in recent times, Sunil Grover has strongly hinted that he has quit The Kapil Sharma Show while the show’s host, Kapil, is still trying to get the ace comedian back in the fold. In further proof, Sunil, Chandan Prabhakar, and Ali Asgar didn’t turn up for the shoot, signaling that the association is over as things stand. Sunil is unlikely to return the way things are. Ali and Chandan are also staying away from the show.
