Has ‘Haseena Parkar’ been funded by the D-Gang?

Brother of the ‘Most Wanted Criminal’ Dawood Ibrahim, Iqbal Kaskar was recently arrested for reportedly extorting money from builders. The Thane police officials are now under the doubt if the infamous D-Company has any involvement with the financing of Shraddha Kapoor’s much-talked-about movie ‘Haseena Parkar’. The movie is based on the life of Dawood and Iqbal’s sister Haseena Parkar, who is fondly called as ‘Aapa’.Commissioner of Police, Thane, Parambir Singh told a leading daily, “The gang earlier used to finance movies with the money got through extortion. We will check if any similar investment was made recently.”The police also suspect that the extorted money was eventually invested in the movie. “After Parkar’s death, Kaskar was handling D-Company’s business in Mumbai and Thane from her home in Nagpada. Parkar used to hold a daily darbar there, a practice that Kaskar continued,” said an officer.Sources mentioned Kaskar had been threatening builders from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. “A Navi Mumbai builder, Hemandra Shah, had to pay Kaskar Rs 3 crore a few years ago. Later, he fled the city and still hasn’t come back due to fear,” said an officer. However, lawyers in support of Kaskar claim that these charges are baseless and the arrests have been made on mere allegations. The cops revealed that the evidence collections and information still under progress.
