Happy Birthday Mahie Gill: Single Mother of 3 year old daughter, and her Bollywood life.

Rimpy Kaur Gill, also known as Mahie Gill, is well known as her role of Paro in Anuraj Kashyap’s  DevD.

Rimpy Gill was in Chandigarh in a Punjabi Jat family on 19 December 1975, she has master degree in theatre from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2008.

Rimpy after entering the industry took the stage name Mahie Gill. Mahie got her break in Punjabi based Bollywood film Hawayien. She did a couple of Punjabi films along with theatre. After this, Anurag Kashyap instantly finalized Mahie for the role of Paro in his movie DevD. She also worked in several other films, like Ram Gopal Verma’s, Not a Love Story, which was based on Niraj Grover’s Murder case of 2008, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster which was released on 30 September 2011. Mahie Gill, has won Filmfare Best Actress (Critics), Screen Awards Most promising Newcomer Female, IIFA Star Debut Award, for her role in DevD.
