Did You Know The Cool Story Behind Marvel Superhero Black Panther?

Some heroes are underrated in the Marvel and DC Universe. They have great powers, no doubt, but they are not brought into the limelight. Movies like Avengers, The Dark Knight, Superman etc. have succeeded in bringing some characters alive through movies and franchises. But what about the others?

Some people, generally termed as “Nerds”, know extensively about these superheroes through the world of comic books. But what about those who prefer watching movies over reading? Not to worry as some directors have taken this daunting task upon themselves.

Marvel comes with the story of an underrated and mysterious superhero, the Black Panther. It’s necessary to know some background about this superhero. He is the fictional superhero and the king and protector of Wakanda, a fictional African nation.

He, along with other superheroes of Marvel, is the brainchild of Stan Lee. He is one of the most famous American comic-book writer, editor, publisher, media producer, television host, actor and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics. In collaboration with several artists, including Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, Thor, the X-Men, and many other fictional characters, introducing a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books.

Let’s come back to Black Panther again. Readers will be interested to know that he is the first black superhero in mainstream American comics, debuting years before such early African-American superheroes as Marvel Comics’ the Falcon (1969) and Luke Cage (1972), and DC Comics’ Green Lantern John Stewart (1971) and Black Lightning (1977).
The character of the Black Panther first appeared in Captain America: Civil War. He is set to return in Black Panther movie and Avengers: Infinity War, set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was played by Chadwick Boseman in the previous film and he will take up this role again.

The character’s real name is T’Challa. The “Black Panther” is only a title which is a rank of office, chieftain of the Wakandan Panther Clan. His connection with the Wakandan Panther God, grants him superhumanly acute senses, enhanced strength, speed, agility, stamina, durability, healing, and reflexes.

Marvel Studios released the trailer of this movie on 10 June, 2017 and within 14 hours, it has already gained 5.5 million views on Youtube!! Seems like the movie is going to be another blockbuster. Well, what not to love about this? It is just the right combination of action, thrill and fun, just what the heart wants.

So readers, be ready for the upcoming movie and let’s hope that this time also, Marvel Studios manages to blow our socks off!!
