‘Chintu ka Birthday’ a birthday party set in war times, interesting enough to stick us to our seats

‘Chintu ka Birthday’ movie trailer has released recently. The movie starring Vedant Raj Chibber as Chintu, Vinay Pathak as Chintu’s father, Tillotama Shome as Chintu’s Mother, Bisha Chaturvedi as Laxmi (Chintu’s Sister), Seema Pahwa as Chintu’s grandmother, Khalid Massou and Mir Mehroos, is Zee5 original film premiering on 5th June, 2020 and is set in the war times presenting a birthday party unlike we have ever seen with a twist as shown in its trailer.

The trailer brings to us the story of a sweet and happy Indian family which is all excited and could be seen planning for their youngest son, Chintu’s (Vedant) birthday party. The family seems discussing about all the arrangements for the party, guest lists and throwing a grand party for Chintu as a compensation for all the fun he has missed on his previous birthdays. After all this, comes a twist with the sound of an explosion where we realize the story is not of any ordinary Indian family but a family stuck in war-torn Iraq, who are illegal migrants there and their happy moments are suddenly distracted by the US troops that enters in their house unapologetically and ask them if they are insurgents. Amidst all this, the family is upset about Chintu crying on his birthday and still want to celebrate his birthday party.
