To say that Shoojit Sircar’s Pink is one of the most ground-breaking films of the year 2016 would be an understatement. Not only did it win the hearts of the audience but it also managed to stir some very important debates around feminism and women empowerment.
This Amitabh Bachchan and Taapasee Pannu starrer film did not just garner a lot of critical acclaim but it even went on to do well at the box-office. The film revolved around sexual harassment that modern women face and how many men often fail to understand the meaning of a simple yet powerful word NO.
It evoked the right sentiment amongst the youth and proved to be so powerful that it was used as a platform to promote the Zero FIR law and to sensitize police forces towards women.
This thought-revoking film has achieved yet another amazing feat. Actor Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to announce that the film has been invited for a special screening at the United Nations Headquarters
