Aishwarya Rai Dropped Idea Of Playing Surrogate Mother In Jasmine

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen on the silver screen opposite Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor in Fanney Khan and prior to that she starred in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil where she portrayed a glamorous role.

The beautiful actress who has a couple of films lined up for near future was supposed to essay an interesting character of a surrogate mother, but now she has walked out of it. The news of Aishwarya giving her nod to the film was making rounds all over the social media, but now, as per the reports, the star has taken a final call.

According to sources, “Aishwarya has turned down Jasmine. There were several loopholes in the script. Although Siddharth and Garima’s basic idea was strong, there were many problems with the story, which the actress had reportedly pointed out to the writer duo. After the corrections, they approached her with a fresh script, but Ash still felt she couldn’t relate to it. So, she politely informed the team that she won’t be able to do the film anymore.”

The same report also has the statement by filmmaker Shree Narayan Singh, who was initially producing the film, where he has been quoted as saying “The film should have gone on floors by now. But Siddharth and Garima, too, had other commitments to complete. So, I will not be able to tell you when it will start. It’s currently on hold,” he says.

Talking about her future projects, Aishwarya has Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun, where she will be seen opposite her husband Abhishek Bachchan, Raat Aur Din remake and Woh Kaun Thi with Shahid Kapoor
