A 17-YEAR-OLD HANGS HIMSELF
Another suicide case comes up from Rajasthan’s Kota region
on Tuesday. A 17-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself on the
ceiling fan. The student, Jitesh Gupta was a resident of Siwan, Bihar and had
come to Kota for taking coaching for his upcoming IIT JEE 2019 entrance
He had been preparing for his examinations for three years
now. When he did not answer his parents call, they called one of his friends to
check. It was his friend who found him hanging from the fan. No suicide note
has been found yet, the authorities and police are investigating the case.
The body is kept in the mortuary of Maharao Bhim Singh Hospital for the postmortem which is likely to be conducted after the his family arrives. This is third suicide case within a year. On Sunday, two students from different coaching center hanged themselves on a ceiling fan.
Including this suicide, the number of suicides recorded in
the city has increased to 19 this year. At least 58 students from different
private coaching have committed suicide since 2013 to 2017.
GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL INJECTS HIV POSITIVE BLOOD INTO A PREGNANT WOMEN
A government hospital in Virudhunagar district some 500 Km
from Chennai injected a HIV positive blood into a 24-year-old pregnant woman
during a blood transfusion. Three lab technicians have been suspended for
showing such horrible irresponsibility.
Two years ago, they failed to inform a donor that he was HIV
positive. The government has offered financial compensation and jobs for the
woman and her husband. According to the investigation, the man is positive for
both HIV and Hepatitis B. He donated his blood at a donation drive by an NGO.
Neither the hospital officials saved his records nor they inform him of the test results. The woman has been put on anti-retro-viral treatment as doctors say that instant detection can help her to live long. But now, both the doctor and family has to wait till the baby’s birth to find if the baby is infected or not.
KARNATAKA CM CAUGHT ON CAMERA SAYING “KILL MERCILESSLY, NO PROBLEM”
Karnataka chief minister, HD Kumaraswamy has been caught in a videotape telling someone over a phone call to “kill mercilessly, no problem”. He is telling to kill the attackers of a local leader of his Janata Dal, Honnalagere Prakash.
“Prakash was a good and loyal man, I don’t know who did this and what was their intention behind it. Kill them mercilessly there is no problem “, Kumaraswamy was heard talking in a video clip.
Prakash was a member of his Janata Dal, he was attacked by few men on Monday in South Karnataka’s Mandya district while he was traveling in his car. In response to this video clip, the chief minister office issued a statement, “the words used after listening to the incident was an emotional outbreak, not an order given by the chief minister”.

In the wake of the Lok Sabha elections, on the issue of seat sharing in Bihar NDA, there has finally been a break on the ongoing debate today. Following the pressure from RLD Chief Upendra Kushwaha on December 10, separating from NDA and LJP chairperson Chirag Paswan, Akhtar made a consensus on the form sharing formula in Bihar NDA. The form sharing formula was formally announced after the meeting of the key leaders of the NDA in Delhi on Sunday for seat sharing. Under this, the BJP and JDU will contest 17-17 seats and Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP 6 Lok Sabha seats.
It was announced on Sunday at the Joint Press Conference of BJP, LJP, and JDU in Delhi. BJP’s national president Amit Shah has announced the seat sharing. Shah also said that apart from these seats, LJP will fight against NDA’s seat in the Rajya Sabha elections due to Ramvilas chief. Amit Shah said that in Bihar, all three parties will run a common election campaign. He also said that which party will contest on which seat in the coming days will be decided after the discussion.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that we will work together and we will repeat the 2009 victory. He said on the selection of seats that it will talk about meeting together and will not take any more time. At the same time, Ram Vilas Paswan said that we are gathered. The stalemate that had lasted for two to three days is now over. He also thanked Arun Jaitley with Amit Shah.

PETROL PRICES LOWERS IN MAJOR CITIES
Petrol, diesel prices lowers on Saturday in the major cities of the country as the Indian rupee gets appreciated against US dollar and fall in crude oil price. Petrol prices became cheaper by 19-20 paise from Rs.70.46 to Rs. 70.27 while diesel prices came down by 22 paise from Rs. 64.39 to Rs. 64.19 in the capital.
In Mumbai, the price of petrol fell down by 1 rupee, from Rs. 76 to Rs. 75.89 and diesel price fell by few paise from Rs. 67.39 to Rs. 67.17 according to the data available on Indian Oil Corporation website. In Chennai and Kolkata, petrol is retailing at Rs. 72.91 and Rs. 72.36 as compared to Rs. 73.11 and Rs. 72.55.
The recent fall in the price of crude oil and appreciation of Indian Rupee by 2 percent against US dollar is the reason for the fall in price. This implies that the retail price of petrol and diesel is likely to fall further in the coming days.
SIX MILITANTS KILLED IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR
A gunfight started between militants and security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Six militants were killed in the fight according to the report given by the ANI news agency. The agency also reported that security forces recovered arms and ammunition from the site.
Those six militants belonged to the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind outfit led by former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Musa. One of the six was identified as Soleh Mohammad, a supporter of Musa and also the deputy chief of the outfit.
Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind is a cell of Al-Qaeda operating in the Kashmir valley. The search for the presence of more militants there is being conducted by the security forces, police said. He further explained the situation where the forces were conducting searches when militants started firing on them.
PETITIONER FINED RS 5 LAKH AGAINST PLEA FOR NAMAZ AT AYODHYA DISPUTED SITE
On Thursday, the Allahabad High Court imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on a petitioner who asked for the permission to offer ‘namaz’ at the disputed site in Ayodhya. The court named the appeal as “cheap publicity”.
Justices DK Arora and Alok Mathur of the Lucknow bench of the high court passed the order given by the petitioner Al-Rahman Trust as an attempt to gain “cheap publicity”. The court has ordered the District Magistrate Faizabad to realize the fine amount if it is not deposited by the Trust.

PV Sindhu won the finals of the 2018 BWF World Tour Finals in China on Sunday. Sindhu, ranked sixth in the world, defeated World No 5, and defending champion, Nozomi Okuhara in straight sets 21-19, 21-17 to clinch that elusive gold medal at a major tournament.
In the finals, Sindhu faced her old nemesis, Nozomi Okuhara of Japan. The scoreline belies the seesaw nature of the match as the two shuttlers pushed each other to the limit. Sindhu started off in high spirited as she went up 14-6 in the first game. But Okuhara fought her way back and leveled the scores at 16-16. Then, again, Sindhu won some crucial points at the end to close out the first game 21-19.
In the second game also, both the players fought valiantly for each point. However, Sindhu was always slightly ahead of Okuhara. Okuhara committed a couple of errors that helped Sindhu get three match points. There was to be no comeback from Okuhara in the second game, and Sindhu converted her first match point to win the final and She won the second game 21-17. Then she maiden BWF World Tour Finals title.
Sindhu is also becoming the first Indian to win this tournament. The sight of PV Sindhu falling to her knees after the last point, with tears running down her face, will likely become an iconic moment in Indian sports. This win is a big relief to the badminton ace who had faltered in the finals of many tournaments including the Olympics and the Asian Game.
“I have no words, this is my first win in this year, every time I feel like coming to final and winning it but this will be the most memorable I would say because I think it was a really good game and I’m really very proud. The year has ended on a very beautiful note,” Sindhu said.

This was the second meeting of the filmmakers with the Prime Minister since October 24 this year. They, along with actor Aamir Khan and Sidhwani, had met the PM in Delhi.
